The Norridge Park District and School District 80, Pennoyer & Union Ridge proud to partner in offering childcare for grades K-8 this school year to those in need. This program is being offered as an option for your child to extend their school day in a safe and supervised environment with our trained staff. Students will need to attend a minimum of two days per week.
Our full and half-day program will take place on site in classrooms at School District 80 Schools (Leigh & Giles). For Pennoyer and Union Ridge students, the program will take place on-site at the Norridge Park District. Rooms will have no more than 15 in each classroom. Please note that dependent on registration, the full day program might be located on site at the Norridge Park District Recreation Center for District 80 students.
Park District staff will supervise students while they conduct their E-learning. Each child will be assigned a desk and given time to complete assignments. Once schoolwork is complete, children will be able to participate in activities planned by staff. Activities will range from group games, arts and crafts and outdoor activity. Children should come with the supplies needed to conduct their school work (computer/tablet, paper, pencil/pen, crayons and a set of headphones). Each child will be responsible for bringing their own perishable lunch, unless you are utilizing school district 80 lunch program.
